Underground Wonder Bar moves “under” The Joynt

Anyone that knows me at all knows my love for dancing, especially dancing to LIVE music!  Hailing from Austin, “The Live Music Capital of the World”, my affinity is not only strong but it equates to a high expectation for bands and singers.  Chicago is a wonderfully diverse city and I love everything it has to offer, but I must say that live music venues are not nearly as prolific here as in the Austin.  So when I find a place, like The Joynt, and Underground Wonder Bar I become a loyal fan instantly.

For 21 years, Lonie Walker has been the mastermind behind the success of Underground Wonder Bar.  Due to a number of circumstances (none of which are especially desirable) The Underground Wonder Bar found themselves without a home and dangerously close to extinction.  Thanks to Lonie’s friendship with Stan Wozniak, the music will live on because Underground Wonder Bar has just moved “under” The Joynt at Dearborn and Erie.  It’s partnerships like this that make Chicago my kinda town, and I, for one, will do all that I can to ensure that the music goes on… and on… and on… 365 days a year, to be exact.

With four rooms of music, dancing, cocktailing and more, the new partnership has become “THE live music hotspot of Chicago”.  Support the arts.  Support live music.  Support Chicago.  Visit The Underground Wonder Bar and The Joynt at Dearborn and Erie and ensure that Chicago music remains alive and vibrant.

Now if you’ll excuse me… I gotta go dance.
